Spinal hernia treatment
Age 45
I received low-back hernia surgery in mid-April. The whole experience, from the first phone call to my discharge from the clinic, was great. The outpatient clinic was very patient-friendly, rectifying a mistake made by another hospital (not putting the entire MRI scan on a CD-ROM, twice), which meant I didn’t have to visit the hospital another time. Great!
Dr Schröder provided highly understandable information on the operation and the rehabilitation period, in a very pleasant way. The nursing I received at the ward was once again patient-friendly. Both the nurses and the physiotherapist carefully explained the entire procedure to me. I was looked after well. And as for the results of my operation – such a relief! I went from having a lot of pain in my leg and barely being able to sit to feeling much better, just two weeks after the operation, and without taking any of the painkillers I used to take quite copiously before my operation. Of course I’ll feel the odd stab of pain, but nothing like what I used to feel before the operation.
